A gentle nightly routine for calm baby skin

Babies thrive on rhythm. A calm, predictable routine signals to their bodies that it is safe to rest. Here is a gentle sequence we love for Bangladeshi nights—lightweight, fragrance-free and kind to sensitive skin.

1) Warm (not hot) rinse

Use lukewarm water and a pH-balanced cleanser for no more than 5 minutes. Pat dry with a soft towel instead of rubbing.

2) Seal in moisture within 3 minutes

Apply a light, alcohol-free lotion while the skin is still slightly damp. Focus on elbows, knees and diaper lines where dryness shows first.

3) Protect the diaper area

Use a zinc-based cream if there is any redness. Let the skin breathe for a minute before putting on a fresh diaper.

4) Scent-free sleepwear

Choose breathable cotton layers. Avoid fabric softeners with heavy fragrance—these often irritate delicate skin.
